TREASURES

I am so thankful that when it comes time to laundry, Brad may not do much, but he has ALWAYS emptied out his pockets! It's minor, but I am so thankful for that!  Well, I wasn't aware that at 3, I would have to start checking my sons pockets:)
So...here are the "treasures" I found in my dryer vent:)
Welcome Home Pinkee!!  Braxton was SSSOOOO excited when he called his daddy and daddy said YES to the fish!!  Braxton thought we should name her Pinkee since she is pink!  He's so clever.  I didn't have the heart to tell him Pinkee really is a boy...so as Braxton reads this blog when he is a teenager, I guess he will find out the truth...

Braxton was SUPER excited when he got up Tuesday morning and I surprised him with a trip to the State Fair! Cutest Cowboy there!!!
I'm loving that he isn't as scared of the animals...as he used to be!
He kept telling me the whole drive there that he couldn't wait to see the zebras!  I felt bad telling him there wouldn't be any.  He was getting the zoo and the fair mixed up.  BOY oh BOY did he put me in my place when he saw zebras!  Guess I'm the one who gets things confused!!  Can you just see him saying, "see mom, I TOLD you there was Zebras here!!!!!"
 I don't think I have ever seen a porcupine!?!?!?

We went to go on the Strawberry ride, and he decided he didn't want to.  He told me he was scared, and was going to cry and whine!!! HA!  But, being the mom I am, I made him go on....
...And THIS is him spinning in circles in the strawberry!!!!!!!!  So, mean mom you still say?!?!?
That smile makes me SMILE!!!!!
I had so much fun with you Braxton!!!  I Love our little trips together (although we did miss daddy)

All in Random

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We started Friday Night off a little different than our norm'.  We grilled out with some friends, and then headed back to daycare at 9PM!!  They had a movie fundraiser, "Alvin and the Chipmunks!"  It was SOOO adorable to watch Braxton play upfront with his friends, while us moms sat back and watched them!  There were many door prizes when we entered, one of which was a rocket that Braxton wanted sooooo badly (to say the least!!)  So, Grandpa Bob had given Braxton money earlier that day after daycare to go buy a snack, and he was to donate the rest at daycare...inwhich he did!  (Thanks Gpa) So, about 12 times thru the movie, Braxton would sneak back by me to see if I thought he would win the rocket..after a dozen times I finally told him I would buy him one if he would just stop asking!(great parenting, I know!) So, movie's over, heading out as they drew the first door prize winner...well, can you all guess what happened next......BRAXTON WINNER!!!!!!!!!   I cannot even BEGIN to put into words how EXCITED, OVERWHELMED, THRILLED, ANXIOUS, HAPPY this little boy was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  To me it appeared as if he just won the lotto:)  So, lucky $10, hoping next time Gpa will give him a $100 and see what happens:)
Saturday we attempted to go to my niece, Charli's soccer game.  So far, we are 2/2 of rain cancelling her games, AFTER we are already in town:(  Braxton has just been so sad, I can't even imagine how bummed Charli is:(
Saturday night we attended the Whitetails Unlimited banquet with a group of friends...I was 3rd left standing out of 12 before I lost the chance at the BIG prize of the night...Guess I'm not lucky like Lil Man:)
Sunday we helped my dad move into his new house in town!  I think Braxton is the most excited!!  He even has his own room there!
Tonight we went to the firemans picnic...sad to say I didn't take a single picture...
Although, I did FINALLY upload my phone pics...so enjoy the random shots!
Braxton at the bazaar a few weeks ago, would only ride in this car!!!
Braxton was halfway on the board in this pic, flirting with his summer babysitter, Amber...
Swimming to the edge after jumping off the board!!!  WAY TO GO BRAX!!!
Filling some BIG shoes of his daddy's at the firehall one random night!!!
A few weeks ago at the car races!
When my sister's kids were here, after they brush their teeth, this is how they drink...Braxton has done it ever since!
On our way home from the cancelled soccer game..it was raining outside, so of course we needed the umbrella up inside!

AND, SO RANDOM...
I came across this from my phone pics...Look how little he looks!!!
Hope everyone has  a GREAT start to the week:)

Last Day

It dawned on me, that as much as I think I will remember all the cute things Braxton says and does, I know I will forget!!!  So, here they are getting jotted down in the blog.
Whether it happened an hour ago, yesterday, last week, last month, or a year ago, Braxton refers to it  as, "the last day"..."mom, remember at daycare the last day"..."dad, at Deb Bender's the last day I rode in the combine"..."when we went to church the last day I shared my toys"...As often as we correct him, he says, "I know mom, it was the last day"...  He has moved into the next level/room at daycare with Miss Becky!  He REALLY seems to be enjoying his 'homework' as he refers to.  The papers he has been bringing home are unbelievable!  They are cutting, pasting, markering...whew!!  that takes P.A.T.I.E.N.C.E to deal with all them 3 year olds I would think!  I am so excited everyday to see what new project he has done!
----
Well, backtracking to the end of July, or new appliances went 'wrong', very, very wrong.:(  Brad was out West helping fight the fires, and I worked late that night, came home and went to bed, only to awake to a pool indoors.  We had some water damage to the kitchen, basement living room, furnace room, spare bedroom, and bathroom.

It got to the point where Brad strongly urged me to get the floor picked out, and soon!!  It was just so hard to decide.  So, I stepped out of the box, and wild I went!!

In the mean time, we FINALLY completed our Memorial Day weekend project!  The playground/park is FINISHED!!!!!
This gigantic longhorn was Brad's when he was little...

Braxton made me a smily face..Do ya'll see it?!??!?!
Argh Mate-ees!!!  Braxton loves "Jake and the Neverland Pirates", so I ordered him this costume...hoping I'm covered for Halloween!?!?!?  (fingers crossed)
Check out that sweet floor...Braxton was so sad, it hurt his 'little feets' he told us:(
What little was left of our old floor..Braxton helped tear out...
And a view of the NEW!!!  Obviously, trim isn't done yet and vents, but you get the idea!
So, I miiiggghhttt have ran over the sprinkler with the mower this summer, so the boys were repairing it!
Inappropriate in sooo many ways, but if this doesn't make you smile, than you need to get a sense of humor!!!  Sorry Braxton, but it was just too cute:)

Make a Wish Wednesday

Last night Brad made beer can chicken...when it came time to breaking the wish bone, Braxton asked what you do with it.  I told him you wish for something really neat that you really like and want to happen! So, he held one side, I held the other, and this is what he said...EXACTLY what he said: "I wish that we could be best friends forever and ever! That's what I wish for!"
AHHHH!!!!!  And he got the winning end of the bone (but I win in the end!)  THAT, to me was what you call PRICELESS!!!
(yes, that was my mommy-brag-a-lot moment)
