Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend!
I'm glad to say Braxton got over his HFM after about a week. We went in for his 4 month check up...he got 2 shots and did great!!! He's now weighing 14lbs 4oz and is 26 inches long! He is such a happy little man:) We have started increasing his amount of cereal, that I just can't shovel in his mouth fast enough! At this rate he is going to be a tank :) Enjoy the pictures!

On August 27th, Braxton turned 4 months old! Hard to believe 4 months have gone by!?! The past few days have been pretty rough at our house. Thursday we found out Braxton has HFM=hand, foot, and mouth. For those of you that don't know what this is, because I sure didn't...it consists of a VERY unhappy little man, with a rash from head to toe, fever, blistery-pus-pocket filled soars in his mouth and down his throat, and blisters on his feet.(not his hands yet, thankfully!) and is very contagious! As you can imagine, he is very uncomfortable and not wanting to eat much at all. It's been a struggle to get him to eat anything, and trying to put him to nap or bed...just isn't working so well:( So, all you moms (and dads) feel free to throw some advice our way. The only thing we can do is give him tylenol and ride this out...they say it last about 5-7 days...

---on a better note...he weighs 14 pounds!!!

this picture was taken before he got sick...trying out the high chair for the first time...thanks Grandpa & Grandma P!

Standing by the couch

Trying to play and act happy...poor fella

He is happiest in the bath tub, and since he wouldn't take a bottle, he got cereal for the first time!

Took his cereal like a champ!!!

First this...first that...

Where does the time go?!?!? We have had a lot of 'firsts' going on at our house in the past few weeks! Last week, we got to experience Braxton having his first cold:( It was pretty rough at our house for a few days. But, glad to report, he got over it very quickly!
He also got to spend his first over-nighter at Gma and Gpa B's house!!! Brad and I went to a beautiful wedding in KS this past weekend. It was fun to go somewhere, but probably won't happen anytime soon...it was HARD to be away!!!
Also, a few weeks ago, Braxton got to go swimming in his very own pool...mini pool:) He lasted about 2 minutes and decided he was done! The water wasn't quite as warm as his bath tub water!
This past Sunday, he also got to ride in his first FIRETRUCK!!! I'm not sure if he was more excited, or if his daddy was?!?!?!?!?

my first pool

riding in the BIG FIRETRUCK!

I slept the whole ride and woke up at the end for a picturethis is what I came into this morning when I went to check on him:) ...don't worry Aunt Brenda, I pulled it out right after I took the picture!!!

3 MONTHS!!!

We had Braxton into the Dr last week. He weighed 12 lbs 14oz! He's G-r-o-w-i-n-g! We took his in because he has a few patches of eczema, and with the help of some cream, the spots are almost gone. The Dr gave us the go ahead to start giving him some cereal in a week or so! As you can see, he isn't lacking in the weight department! Dr just said he is ready! It's been so fun watching him react to toys and reach for things. He has just started to figure out that he has hands and he is in control of them! He is starting to open his hands and hold onto things! Time is just flying by! Enjoy the pictures!
He really loves to play with his "bumblebee!"...thanks Sandy!

Is this the life, or what?! Sound asleep in his swing.

A good friend told me it would be a good idea to start trying naps in his bed...who wouldve thought it would work so well?!?!

On Sunday daddy thought Braxton would enjoy his exersaucer...this was Brad's Sunday project putting this together...didn't take near as long as my project....

This was "my" project for Sunday. I attempted to build a retaining wall in our yard...don't look too closely, it's not too straight!? But, it's okay for my first attemp!
