"YEABIT"...

So many excuses for not blogging lately...but I won't bore you with details of that:)
We have been enjoying summer to the FULLEST!!!
Let's back track a ways...
Braxton got a new swingset, or "park" as he calls it:)  It called for 2 men/5-10 hours of labor...3 weeks later...NO!! I'm just kidding:)  Brad pretty much did it himself, with the help of a few drinking friends...(who drank while he worked:)...no, I was not one of them...HA!  It was up within days!
Do any of you remember this lovely poop brown blazer Brad adored through high school?!  Well, look out, I believe it's back on the insurance card:)   This was the start of the park project...Braxton wanted to know if it was going to be like he park where "Gene Werner" works, or the "dirty park"...now let me explain....  Gene is remodeling a house, which is next to the park, and the other one is across the highway and has sand...so we shy away from that 'dirty park"...Oh the things we tell our kids, right?!  Or..the things I tell mine;)
Not sure if you can see, but Braxton had to get his tools out, too:)
...and here is Brad on the trash can!  Braxton caught a lady bug, and named him  Brad:)  Since then, we now have another lady bug named Amanda, 2 frogs, Brad and Braxton, and a caterpillar, Marty, and a lightening bug, called Nobody:)
Camping inYankton over Memorial Day, Braxton had a blast chasing Brandon Werner.  I love how Braxton calls everyone by their first/last name!
Braxton also REALLY took  a liking to Brandon's gf, Laura:)  I believe by the end of the weekend, Braxton had told Laura he liked her the best...
Enjoying the park with Sue and Daddy
Well, does this really need explaining?!  This is one of his favorite things to do camping because he can "do it all by myself mommy!!" and is so proud!!  He isn't always tall enough for some toilets on his own!  You would have to be crazy to not find this adorable!!!
Discussing their master plan on how to roast marshmallows...or where to throw the pinecones in...not sure which pic this was...

Look at this awnry face!  He was a MESS by the time I finished power washing the pickup!!

Story Time

We were camping over Mother's Day weekend and I went to the shower house to shower...only to find the water ICE COLD!!!  I wrapped my towel around me and stormed back to the camper mummbling to Brad that the water was 'freakin dam cold'...as Braxton really wasn't close by..I thought absolutely nothing of it!!
3 weeks later, we are camping again..I come back from the shower house (inwhich it was WARM) and Braxton sat in the camper playin toys, did not even look up at me as he sweetly in the softest voice said, "mommy?? how was your freekin dam cold shower?"  Ummm...without hesitation Brad says, "What did you say?"  He sweetly replies with, "Oh, I was just asking Mommy how her freekin dam cold shower was".... AHHH...don' worry, we did tell him that he, nor mommy should say those words....
Traveling camping, Aunt Kelly rode with us, and Braxton told her that he 'is like a sponge'...This child does NOT miss anything!!!

Yesterday, while picking up corn/beans Braxton dropped a handful, and with that, I heard "oh God".  The look on my face must've told Braxton he said something wrong, because he quickly said, "I mean..." and I cut him off by telling him we only say that name when we are praying....he quickly cut me off, as he put his hands out, and said, " I knooow mommmmyyy, I wasn't finished talking, I was just saaaaying 'dear God, thank you for the food we are going to eat later'  that's what I was going to say mom"....WELL!!!  Put me in my place please!!!:)  Little Stinker!!!

And the "yeabit"....everything sentence this week has started out with a "yea, but..." and he talks so fast, I laugh at his 'yeabit'....

hEy! HeY! hEY!!!

For awhile now, we have been at the "hey why" stage around our place!  Brad and I always laugh at our responses to some of his questions...others we look confused and not sure how to answer...
For instance:
"hey mom, why don't you have a pee pee like me and daddy??"

Let me clarify...it's not that I strut around naked in front of my child, but what mom out there actually gets to use the bathroom without little ones barging in?!?! Let's get real!!!
Yesterday, as we were driving, Braxton sees a cop..and WOW did the questions roll!!
"hey mom, did you see that cop?!"
"hey mom, I don't like cops cuz they are bad"
I explained to him that cops aren't bad guys..and that cops arrest bad guys.
"hey mom, will they take you to jail?"
no!!  Only if you are naughty and don't listen to your mommy and daddy :)
"hey mom, I want the cops to pull you over and then come to my house to see my new bed"
???O child of mine!!!
"hey mom, I want to be a bad cop okay?!"
Oh Braxton!
"hey mom, I'm gunna be a bad guy and the cops will get me and take me to jail, okay mom?!"
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
So, you all remember this someday....I PRAY he is a good boy:)
I had so much fun running errands with Braxton..he really is my memory! We were driving away and he reminds me of Brad's glasses that we were supposed to drop off...
Later, he asks me if we are going back to 'the target' to get Calli her present...CRAP! YES!
I just love how he calls it, 'The Target'
We obviously keep our child up too late because we have been hearing a lot lately, 'Mom, can I go take a nap now?" Oops!
Having a 3 year old at our house is SOOO fun, and challenging at the same time.  He is just starting with the talking back...oh fun times yet to come!
Everyday is a FUN day at our house, reguardless of the late nights, early mornings, and attitudes:)

Happy belated Mother's Day!!!
Story of my life...I'm a little late with this Mother' Day wish for all you wonderful Moms out there! I hope you had a FANTASTIC day!!!
Brad, Braxton, and I took off for our first camping trip in 2012!! We went to Pierce and had SOOO much F*U*N!!!
I had a wedding party to do hair for Saturday, so while I did that, the boys got to go fishing with Braxton's Buddy, Gene Werner!  They each caught a fish, that we later enjoyed for supper:)  It is so cute hearing Braxton repeat things he hears...he told an older gentleman that he caught a wool-eye, and a cwop-eee.  After we told him the correct pronunciation he giggled and now says it right.  I almost think it's cuter to not correct him sometimes;)
I don't even recall what Brad was pointing at as I took this picture, but I love it!!!
This little turkey was chasing me around the boat with a minow..and YES, I was freaked out by it!  Braxton thoroughly enjoyed teasing me!!!
 My boyz:)
Roasting/burning the marshmallows:)  Braxton later decided he would just eat the candy bars instead!  Just like Grandpa Bob I hear;)
Braxton has all Brad's toys from 30+ years ago...and look at this adorable field he disced up!!!
 GREAT TIMES
Captain Braxton
Happy Mother's Day to  me.....Look at them cute little chubby cheeks that his life jacket is pushing up!  He fell asleep about 30 mins into fishing Sunday!
Braxton gave me the sweetest flower he made at school, and a very funny card...
Thanks boyz for a special Mother's Day!!!

Turning 3 all weekend...

Braxton had a blast Friday on his birthday!!  He got to take treats to school!!!  He was so excited, I had to remind him to kiss me goodbye when I dropped him off:)
(Pardon my unorganized pictures..they loaded weird on me....)
We took Braxton to the zoo on Sunday.  I think it is our new tradition.  He REALLY wanted to see Cheetas!  But, was a little scared, so to see them we hopped on the train and did a drive by.  He LOVED the train so much, and was a little sad to have to get off...
Our silly monkey on the ape.  I told him to smile, and this is what I got:)
I was surprised at how much he liked the butterflies!!!  He was pointing to a purple one!
the silly fat penguins, as Braxton put it:)
He was anxious to see monkeys!!!  They were holding their babies, it was sooo cute!
Brad found a battery for our 4wheeler we had...he LOVED this!!!  His 'brain bucket' as him and his father call it, is from Grandpa Bob and Grandma Jody.  It also came with a 'ding-bell' as he says..he put that on his bike!
Shooting his new bow and arrow from Grandma Deb...this thing could be trouble  ( just kidding..it's plastic nerf)
 I told him to give everyone at his party a hug before he opened his presents...and he DID!!!  I just thought this was so adorable of these 2!!!  That's Harper, his cousin...7 weeks younger than Brax!  he's a big boy who wears boxers!!!{and is sooo proud of them}
 the big boyz table...Uncle Lyle*Brad*Uncle Jesse*Braxton
{none of them are REALLY his uncles:)}
At the strong request of an almost 3 year old, this is his SANTA MICKEY cake!  I didn't realized until I was downloading the pictures, that he was helping hold his cake...so sweet:)
Chillin' the night of his birthday!
We got him this cute little picnic table that I believe he will outgrow tomorrow...oops!
I thought this pic was funny...look at him dashing to me to open another present!
 Happy Birthday--early morning...
Braxton's NEW BED he picked out!!!  And his new thomas sheets he also picked out (against my wanting..but hey, I gave in)  All them toys in the head board are from the Widhalm's and he HAD to put them there and will not let me move them!!!  They belong there he says:)
These 2 cheezeballs had a giggling good time sitting there eating.  He ate really well with an older cousin as a good example!
Our Mickey Mouse cream filled chocolate cupcakes!!!
NIGHTY NIGHT OUR SWEET LITTLE BRAXTON!!! WE LOVE YOU!!! ~
