CAMPING again!!! We had a blast with the Preister clan camping this past weekend! We go every year to Timberlake by Central City. It is so nice and peaceful!!! They have the blob, a rock climbing wall, a zip cord, paddle boats, canoes, ice cream parlor, and much more! Braxton enjoys the freedom he has up there! He runs every which way and no one stops him! He has been getting a little into EVERYTHING!!! Sunday, for example, I watched him pull out the kitchen table chair, climb onto it, climb onto the table, and attempt to 'jump' off! Then, Monday morning I watched him open the toilet lid, and yes,...insert his shoe into the toilet:( Ah, the crazy things boys do:) (let me explain that I was standing there and it happened so fast I couldn't stop him!!!) So, life around the Busselman house been very funny lately....just a few pictures for you:)

Where is the summer going?!?!? It is crazy to think that school will be starting in less than a month! THANK goodness my little man isn't at that stage yet! Seems like after the fairs are over, then school goes! We took Braxton to the Madison fair to see the animals and even got to get into the rodeo...(thanks CJ for that!) Braxton LOVED his first rodeo!! We bought a camper a month ago or so, and have been camping EVERY weekend since! Brad loves taking off for the weekend and relaxing and Braxton loves to be outside, and I love seeing them two having SO MUCH FUN!!! Brad even got to go out on a boat fishing with some 'guy'. I think Brad thinks we need a boat now...:)
Without sounding CRAZY, we got to take Braxton deer hunting this past weekend! Yep, not only is there Christmas in July, now there's deer hunting! The deer are ruining the crops down in Red Cloud, so we went there to 'take care' of that! Disappointing...we only say LARGE bucks, and it was a "doe" weekend only:( It was pretty cool to take Braxton, and our niece Charli came, along with Chad. Taking a 4 year old and 1 year old hunting was pretty entertaining!!
I would have to say this summer has been a lot of 'dreams coming true' for Brad. He is REALLY enjoying have a little boy to follow him around...and in his footsteps for sure:) Enjoy the random photos....

What a great weekend!! We got the camper out for the 2nd time...and WHAT FUN! We headed up to Calamus Friday-Sunday...Braxton has such a BLAST camping! He plays in the dirt...sits in mud puddles any chance he gets...and RUNS away at every given chance!!! ( Is this what people mean when they say, 'boys are busy'!?) We can't wait to go again this weekend!
We went to a party Sunday night to watch some fireworks...Braxton was pretty scared at first, but by the end, he was having a ball! Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend!

I treated the 'boys' in my life to Father's day brunch...followed by some random errands, and then lounged the rest of the day. I even let Brad grill supper for me...I figured it was Father's day and all...trust me...it was his treat that I didn't cook:) I did make dessert though. Double layer chocolate cake for those of you who want to stop by-plenty of extra:)

I pulled this picture out from last year's Father's Day....WOW, how things have changed since then...I don't think you will ever see another picture of Brad holding Braxton crying...these 2 are such BUDDIES!!! Braxton is DADDY'S BOY without a doubt :( Poor mom :(

Life is pretty tough around here at the Busselman house

...and we were all showered and in pajamas and ready for bed. Made a quick trip to the shop where he found a FUN mud puddle. It was followed by his 4th bath of the day...no big deal:)

Braxton has been a very busy little boy these past few weeks! He LOVES to be in water, so last weekend we took him to the New World Inn to go swimming and he had a blast!!!
This past week has been a little rough of Braxton. He got his finger slammed in the door at daycare...which led to a spiked fever and infection, which led us to the Dr once again...inwhich they discovered multiple teeth working their way through as well. He is trying so hard to be his happy little self, but he's been pretty darn miserable. Despite the fever, rash, and fussy-whiney-ness...we ventured camping to Pierce this weekend...if you ignored the 40+ mph wind...it really was FUN:) We can't wait to go again soon...wish our summer wasn't so busy...it's hard getting away!

Friday night-Saturday morning, Braxton was up SCREAMING ALL NIGHT LONG!!! from his teeth hurting we supposed...so the next morning he wasn't too chipper about the boat ride, but was okay as long as he had his paci...I think taking Braxton camping has been a dream of Brad's for so long! Growing up Brad camped a lot with his family and he talks about those memories a lot...so this was pretty special for Brad...even if Braxton wasn't quite in the best of moods...next time will be better:)
Heck with the pac-n-play...he wanted to snooze on the big boy bed...starting to feel much better...
