Halloween Part 1...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Lindsay Holy Family Bulldogs made it into the football playoffs, so Trick or Trunk and Trick or Treating got moved to Sunday, since we will play tonight.   Our little Pirate woke up from nap a little arrr-ngry!  So, it took him a bit to get excited, but he ended up having so much fun!  I think he enjoyed it most when the kids would come to our door!(of course, after he realized I wasn't giving away his candy, he was good to go)
Earlier last week, we carved pumpkins!!  Those of you who have done this, do you wear gloves to your elbows, too?!  The insides creeped me out!!EWW!!  I laughed when Braxton came out of the mudroom with his gardening gloves on!!!  He thought the inside of the pumpkin was hilarious!
So, like many of you, pinterest in my best friend, so we took the cookie cutter idea!  I went to grab something, and came back to my little helper going at it!!!
I forgot to change my camera setting, so when we lit the candle inside, it didn't quite glow like I expected to capture:)
COWBOY!!!  We totally have a cowboy on our hands!
...and pinterest again!!  We replaced a window in the mudroom, so I kept the blinds to make roman shades...I'm under $25 into it I kept telling Brad, so I wasn't too concerned with the outcome.  I think we all were shocked that they turned out!!!  I haven't gotten the window stained yet, so the shades aren't up, but I'm excited to show them!   (still in shock they turned out!)  Braxton had to go grab his tools the second I mentioned 'project'.
Gma P. gave Braxton this wish bone...he had to wait for it to dry, and he was so excited to say the least, to wish upon it!!!   He went a different route with this bone vs. his last one.  He decided to make 2 wishes and pull with his own 2 hands...I suppose it was a win/win for him.  And again, after he broke, I hear, "mommy, I wished we could be best friends forever and ever and ever"....AHHhhh, my sweetheart!
Ready to Trick or Treat Sunday!  Gma B.  pretty much filled his entire basket:)  We emptied it, and prepped for some more...
And now days they hand out whole cans of pop?!??!!  The gentleman told Braxton to pick a treat. (he had pop lining his counters...orange sunkist, strawberry sunkist, pepsi, root beer, purple sunkist...all kids' favorites) and a pouty little pirate responds with, "I don't like that stuff. my mom says I can't drink pop.  u got any candy???"   The gentleman couldn't believe it!  He asked how old he was, and then told him all 3 1/2 year olds drink pop!  Considering this gentleman was a 'Bender', and had JD tractors all over his home, Braxton took his words like they were gold!!!   We settled on a root beer, and guess who now LOVES pop??!!?!
What kid doesn't change their mind?!  By the end of the evening, Braxton went to the neighbors as a 'cowboy'.  The neighbor asked him if he had a girlfriend...Braxton's response, "YEP!!  2!!  Calli and Jayda...they don't know each other though!"   He almost sounded like it was okay since they didn't know each other!!! HA!   I often wonder what the years will bring our way!!!

A WHOLE BUNCH....

...whole bunch of random!!!
Braxton was pretty excited to get a 4wheeler!  I hope he is always happy with not having brand new!
I don't believe I have ever posted a picture of our basement...the mancave dungeon!!  Braxton has an overage of toys,  so some have migrated to the basement.(including the horses!)  He loves to go down the and practice with his 'lasso', as he says!
YES!!!  I put my child in a purple car at the Humphrey Bazaar, but can you read it?!?!  Harper and Charli are in the cars to follow...
After church, and rolls, Braxton was excited to go to the park with Callista.  They also go to daycare together and are buds!!!
Pumpkin Patch time already!!!    (Brad was down working on their huning mancave, so we took our annual trip without him).......He was laughing hysterically that this animal took hay from him!
 "mom,  take  my  pppiiiiccctttuuurrreee"
and halfway down he did this...such a character!
Few and close to none...a picture of one of our dogs...remember Dozer?!?
Brax & Mommy at the pumpkin patch
"mom, get a picture of me jumping big!!!"
 Braxton & Beauty
Every year he rides the horse, not sure if it's the same one or not...I will have to back track on that!
(it was quite windy and dusty)
I'm that mom..that somewhat keeps a distance...but yet follows the train.  Sorry, but something about putting my child in a train that goes thru corn mazes, and behind trees and buildings with a little stranger creeps me out...
Braxton had more fun at the Apple orchard picking our own pumpkins.  This face was his 'smile' he gave me.  He has this new thing about raising his eyebrows, too.  Makes us chuckle!!
After some convincing, Braxton agreed to let Hermann-Cruiser go.  We weren't sure what winter would bring for he ole thing...
He was so proud to carry him to his new home.  We assured him we will get another next year.  He wanted to know if Carson (his cousin who gave it to him) would be sad....he is always concerned with other people's feelings!
So funny....immediately after he crawled out of the bucket, he went under water and was gone....we stayed for a bit, and minutes later he swam up, let out some bubbles, and then swam away again!  I told Braxton he was saying "bye" :)
His homemade fishing pole:)

Braxton started at the new Lindsay Daycare today!!!  He was excited that he got to take a backpack.  He posed for these pictures, and wanted to take more!!  Reminds me of when we were little, and our mom posed us infront of trees and doorways on our first day...must be a mom thing??!?!
"Mommy, take one this way so I can see my backpack!"

Lately...

Story Time.
Sunday in church, Braxton whispers to me, as he points to Jesus, "Mommy, I told Jesus to put a baby in your tummy!"   No Comment:)

Monday morning, Brad is leaving for work and says, "hey, before you leave town stop and give me a ride to the plant."  20 mins later as we are walking out the door, (And I remind you I forgot about Brad!) Braxton says, "mommy, why does daddy want a flower and pot????"  "What are you talking about buddy?!"  "Member mommy, daddy said he wanted a ride to the flower and pot store?!"  :)

"Mommy, I want to eat food, but I want to stay little so I can be your little boy forever and ever, okay mommy???"

"Why do I have to sleep in my bed by myself and you get to sleep with daddy every night?"

This is a short review of our week.  Today is Thursday,  I can't wait to hear what the next question will be!!!

Mixed up

Last night on our way home Braxton asked if I had anything to drink along.  I told him I forgot some water for him.  He  told me he likes water, milk, and juice, and sometimes root beer.  Followed by, "kid beer mom.. I sometimes like kid beer".  WHAT?...  "You remember mom, when uncle Lyle gave me root beer? And I kind of liked it?  That's called kid beer".   I tried to explain that it wasn't beer.  It was pop.  "Then why isn't it called root pop mom????"  Um???? Well, it's just the name they call it.  "Mom......that's REALLY mixed up!!!!!!!!" We'll, yes, yes it is:)
Lately Braxton has been talking a lot about Jesus, and babies.  Braxton's buddy, Tucker, his mommy is having another baby!! He cannot understand why they are getting another, because they already have baby Trevor!  He has been asking how babies get in your tummy, how they get out, and why Jesus only gives some people babies.....questions that I'm not sure how to answer....and last night was a new one.  He wants to know why we can't go to heaven and live with Jesus right now! We answer him the best we can, but sometimes my answers seem silly to me.  I mean, really, how much info can you honestly tell your 3year old!?!?!?!?!?!
Stepped outside...41 degrees..could be cold mowing today! We skipped mowing last night when it was 75 degrees...we decided taking one last combine ride for 2012 was much more important!!!  Braxton halfway thru tried to kick me out, so he could ride with Alan by himself.  Tells me when he is four I have to stay home!!  It was an adventurous night in the combine.  A bunch of rabbits were running out of the end rows, so that was pretty cool to him.  One of the guys in the grain cart, Buggi,(not sure his real name?? Dale maybe??) was singing songs over the radio to Braxton.  Hilarious!!! Braxton even got to talk over the radio.  My favorite was when he said "10/4 roger rabbit".  Another perk we have around here in the small town.  I love these fun outings Braxton gets to be a part of!!!

Last Trip

I believe we took our last camping trip for 2012:(  Makes me sad to think swimming/camping/beach fun/sand castles/bike riding...ahhh..all that is over this year...but FALL is here!!!  I love decorating for fall.  Every year Brad leaves me fewer and fewer corn stalks in my garden, but don't worry, I found a friend who is willing to part with their precious corn!!(it could be hard to come by this year, so I was thankful!!)
Braxton had soooo much fun camping with his cousins.  We stayed close and went to Leigh.  Never been there, but it's fun to try new places!
I find this funny!  His bottom half totally blends with the ground!
Do you know how hard it is to take a picture of yourself, and then add 2 more?!?!  My arms aren't long enough:)
 The 3 fishermen! Kenna--Braxton--Carson
