Yankton Camping

Wore out before we even get there!  We've been doing a lot of weekend camping to Yankton.  It's been stormy at night everytime...a few awning ripped off for people, (luckily not ours) braches down...strong winds, but thankfully nothing more...

 The boys
As long as he is diggin' he's happy!!
 My little handsome man!
 and my big ...handome...husband....
 Future Preister Excavating?!
He was thrilled we got to feed the birds:)
There were babies in the far corner...so cute!  I was surprised how close they came to us!

Happy Father's Day

How many excuses can I find for not blogging?!!  The main one, after my computer crashed, I have not gotten a new one yet!  So thankful Brad will share his:)
Newman Grove had their Q125 Celebration in June.  So, Brad was excited to put his tractor in the Car show and dtive it in the parade for the first time!  Not sure which one of my boys was most excited!!!?
 Very proud little boy!
I believe he's been driving it a little more than I knew about..because he handles it like a pro!
At the parade, Braxton was excited to have his Buddy Uncle Chad there...I know they both looked thrilled, but it was cute watching him go cuddle up on Chad in 90Degree weather!  These two tease each other ssooooo much!  Reminds me back to when Chad was mean...I mean...when Chad teased me:)
Braxton's new summer sitter, Erika, (on 3rd horse) is Braxtons FAVORITE sitter of all time!!!  He practically ran up to the horse to get her attention...and this child is SCARED of horses!!   He LOVES her!!!
Just a typical thing to see on a Sunday Funday drive....
Happy Father's Day!  We spent Father's Day weekend camping, but then Brad drove all day and night Sunday to Iowa to pick up our new trailer...so we got to spend Fathers Day with my family!  Which was great!!  We even got to go play at the Preister's..where Charli had me running her obstacle course...WEW!!!  Aunt Manda is outta shape!!!

Beautiful rainbow on our way home!!!
And once again...blessed with the flu...I lounged around most the day...while Braxton took care of me.  He helped himself to the tape and paper, and made himself a road!  Pretty clever!!!  Thankfully no one else caught the bug!

What you don't see...

Well, it's few are far between with the blog updates, now that it is CAMPIN SEASON!  We got a new (to us) camper earlier this year, but put it straight to storage, so we were anxious to get it out Memorial Weekend!  It was such a nice, long weekend!  Cool and breezy, but for us who do not own a boat, we don't need warm water:)
What is camping, without the worm farm for fishing?!!

Uncle Lyle was  nice enough to let Braxton onto his boat at the Lindsay puddle.  What you cannot see, is that the rest of the boat is on solid ground!!  We didn't have our life jackets along, so this was as close as he was getting to a boat ride:)
Well, Jerry  (neighbor) always tops us ALL with his birthday gifts to Braxton.  He BUILT him a quonset!!!  As you can see how excited he is, he ran outside with MY shoes somewhat on!!!
And it just fits so lovely in our rustic (aka AGED) basement!  He had it filled with all his farm equipment fast!
After 3 great years at Little Saints Daycare in Humphrey, we had our last day.  While it being bitter sweet, we made this little thank you pot for the daycare and Subway gift cards for the staff.  We will miss them all so much!!!

This is the only pic I have snapped while camping...we are just too busy to take time for pictures!
After Memorial Day, and visiting grave sites, Braxton has been full of questions....He is so concerned at knowing if bugs and worms will crawl on you after you pass away when you are in your tasket (as he called it).  He also brought up missing Uncle Ivan in the midst of it all...we ALL miss you Uncle Ivan!
Last night Braxton asked me if he could still live with us when he is in high school...haaa...of course  I told him!  He was referring to college I believe.  He told me he will miss me and daddy when he moves to school, but I shouldn't worry because he will come back and visit, and maybe even stay over night with us!  This child's imagination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today, though, he got registered for Pre School!!!  Let the fun begin:)

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY BRAXTON!!

The boys planting grass in patches....hope it works!
Braxton just loves when Aliya comes over to play!
The yummy cookies I had made from MK's Cupcakery!  I added the bag and little note with it for all the kids at daycare.  He was so excited to take treats!!
Also went the easy way out, and had 30 cupcakes made for the party, too:)
Braxton had 2 friends, Tucker & Isaiah, spend the night after his party.  We brought them home from daycare!  (Braxton was a bit 'off' the whole night, and had night mares all night long...so it was a rough one on him, but his buddies did great!!!)

Note to EVERYONE..pinatas are hard to break open...it caused multiple melt downs for the birthday boy...plus side, everyone had multiple tries to hit it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our little man!!!!
WE hope ALL your wishes come true!!!
 Love watching friends help open:)
 Let the party begin!
The next day..deer hunting!  I got introuble for taking their picture...I scared the big deer away they told me;)
Brotherly love...we took Tucker home, and his little bro, Trevor, couldn't fit on the gator, so they made do!
We let the boys hang out for hours playing, so we got to Omaha late...so just did a quick meal at Burger King ( we told him he could go anywhere, and he said, "anything but pizza!!) we had it for his party Friday, and left overs Saturday for lunch..poor little guy!Ha
Opening his Transformer Optimus Prime--that he waited FOREVER for!!!

Ready for a little swim...after flexing!
Goof Ball:)  His poor allergies were acting up...his eyes poured all day...
Look at that skinny little boy...and buff daddy:)
 FUN!
YAY!!!  He got his DSI that he has been asking for!!!!!!
It amazes me how fast kids catch on to technology!!!!!
Can't stay at a hotel, without a pillow fight taking place!!!
Despite Braxton being 'off', and having a lot of crying episodes, he did tell us he had an awesome birthday!!  Which made us happy to hear!  Hard to believe 4 years has gone by.  We are so LUCKY & THANKFUL for our little boy!   There are days that can be challenging, but we always make it through with a good laugh by the end of the day.  I love tucking him into bed every night and hearing, "mommy, don't forget to have daddy check on me, too, and mommy, I love you."  WE love you, too, Braxton!!!
I can't wait for him to enjoy this blog book someday!

Wild Hogs...

Check out this cute little client of mine!!  First time he let me wash his hair at the shop...he giggled the whole time!
Braxton has been eyeing these cheez balls from "the target" for months...the Easter bunny pulled through!
..and he has been wanting a slinky for EVER!!!
Brad went to Texas a few weeks ago on a wild hog hunt, so Braxton and I went to the zoo!!  We had such a fun time!  The penguins are still his favorite!  ..side note...no wild hog was brought home...but Brad really enjoyed his trip away!!!
Obviously can't get measured with boots  on...haaa
The gentlemen in the backround was NOT with us:)
My little man and I ...and our new shark:)
He told me to take his picture...and he posed....the kids before him sitting there did this..so monkey see..monkey do at the zoo!
He made himself a bird nest..oh the imagination...
Always fun to get a new car seat!!!  Every time he gets a new one, I take a picture, and then tell Brad how big he is getting...but it's crazy to compare each time!  Such a big boy in the makings!
